nail varnish babyyy!

So, yeah, i've been spending again *yaawn* but, it's nail varnishes. :)
So, i found these little beasties in boots, i thought for their price i might as well give 'em a shot, i found the brushes were abit difficult to use like stiff, so it would like flick at the end of each stroke, but other than that they are great, there really isn't anything else wrong with them for their price too, i have Pink Grapefruit on at the moment, it is the colour it looks like in the bottle, sometimes you can get them and they will be like 10 shades darker than the real colour :)

the colours are really pretty, some of them i just wouldn't give thoughts about buying hahaa, but as you will see i have stuck to my pinks, these colours really are very pretty, that is my honest opinion.

In the picture, fairy cake looks pretty much white, my professional photography skills ;) but it's a really pastel, candy pink-
you need at least two coats of nail varnish, so the colour stands out.
They are all £2.99, good stuff. :)

*whoooaa, i have just noticed Barry M nail paints are cheaper by 4 pence, go and buy some! :)

the sun has got his hat on..

So if you're anything like me, i'm sure your making the most of the glorious sunshine. We all know the sun makes us feel great, but i think it's important that people know the dangers.

I will bet that a lot of you who have been out in the sun will not have worn suncream. I cannot count the amount of facebook status' i have read about people being sunburnt.

Stupid as it sounds, i'm actually terrified of sunburn. Like actually scared. I remember a while ago having a conversation with my dad about suncream which has stayed with me and from then i have always been really careful when going out in the sun.

The sun is a fantastic thing. I looove summer BBQ's, waterfights and bike rides and i do love reading a good book by a pool. The sun gives us vitamin D which has many health benefits, one of which making us feel happier and healthier.

When your skin is exposed to sunlight, it produces a pigment called melanin to help protect itself against UV light. Darker skin has more menalin, whereas fair skin has very little. This is what makes your skin go darker- AKA your lovely golden tan. A tan is actually a sign of damage to the skin.
Sunburn is literally a burn of the skin. However, most of the damage that is done before you notice it. Your skin peels because the body wants to get rid of damaged cells as they are at risk of becoming cancer. Sunburn is dangerous because not only does it affect these cells which are shed, it can penetrate into the underneath layers of skin which will prevent them from shedding in the future when you get sunburn again.
I know this is all very factual and boring but i really want people to know what it's all about.

I'm sure you all know that too much exposure to the sun can be a cause of skin cancer. You can also get a condition called actinic keratoses, which is where you get growths on your face and hands.
And i think the worse part, well, for all you beauty fanatics, is probably skin aging. Skin becomes leathery and shows pigmentation irregularities. It's more prone to wrinkles and bruising as it will be thinner. Some celebs swear by factor 50 everyday claiming that it is the reason for their beautiful skin.
Put some research into your skin type and how much exposure you are likely to be facing. It doesn't hurt to prepare your skin using suncream just 15 minutes before you go out in it, you won't regret it in the future.
I know this is a bit of a nag, please, go out and enjoy the sun (while you still can!) but i just wanted to remind people to just slap on some suncream..

currently loving..

A few things of the bits and bobs I'm loving at the moment..

- Sainsbury's Hygienic Hand Gel
just utterly amazing, smells great really soothing for even sensitive hands. £1.02 - 100ml

- Vaseline, Rose and Almond Oil
well, vaseline is just great, all its products are, the smell reminds me of like red wine..? maybe it's just me, but it's good. £1.44 - 20g

- Natural Collection, Colour Foundation (Liquid)
this is really good stuff, it goes on my skin really lightly, i have dry skin and it really helps that too, it is a Boots brand, so i doubt you can buy it in America, sorry guys. :/ £1.99 (all their products are £1.99) 40ml

- No 7 Essential Moisture, Day Cream
this is honestly amazing stuff, it really works, as i said before i suffer from dry skin, not all the time just sometimes, i slap some of this on in the morning before i do my make up. i also have the night cream which you obviously put on at night, i will probably use this for about 3-4 days morning and night and my dry patches on my face will have gone! Smiles all around! Day Cream is £8.50 - 50ml and Night Cream is £9.50 - 50ml.

- Natural Collection Blusher
the one in the picture is called sweet cheeks, i believe it is the lightest one.. this is amazing, really soft on my cheeks, but never as good as my MAC - gingerly. £1.99 5g

- Natural Collection Pressed Powder
this is the colour warm, they all look really light in the shop/packaging but if you get the foundation too, it works better, but i have used it with my Rimmel London foundation and it was still great. there is also a loose powder, comment and tell me what it is like if you have used it. (: £1.99 10g

- The Sun
who doesn't? i love it, i especially love the feeling of having a lovely golden tan without having to fake it. :D i do love fake tan though. comment and give me some great fake tans that are at reasonable prices too.
